This hall is all about forming students through deep academic and spiritual engagement with the Bible and other important texts from the western world. Students who choose to study with Formation Tutoring will be able to complete undergraduate humanities courses and several more specialized courses in the Christian theological tradition (theology, biblical studies, languages, etc.). Additionally, graduate classes in biblical studies are also available for interested students.

Edward Palmer has a bachelors degree from East Texas Baptist University, a MA in Biblical languages from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and is working on a Ph.D. in New Testament from NOBTS. He has about 5 years of experience in ministry and has tutored several students over the years.

Dr. Luke Bobo
The The HSB Christian Hall of Practical Theology is led by Dr. Luke Brad Bobo. Dr. Bobo taught for nearly seven years at Lindenwood University (St. Charles, MO) in their Christian Ministry Studies Department. While teaching at Lindenwood, Dr. Bobo earned a PhD in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in second century rabbinic andragogy. He continues to teach an online apologetics course for his alma mater, Covenant Theological Seminary, where he eared his Master of Divinity with an emphasis in contemporary culture and apologetics. Luke also holds a M.S. and B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Before teaching, Dr. Bobo worked 15 years an electrical engineer. He is married to Rita and they have two adult kids, Briana Amber and Caleb Avery. Luke enjoys teaching practical theology courses and he has written several books and articles. And Dr. Bobo has co-authored several books. When he is not teaching, writing, or speaking, Dr. Bobo enjoys reading, family, friends, traveling, doing lawn work, and napping.

Jodie Hunter started her career in education serving in Teach for America after graduating from LSU in biological sciences. For the last 10 years, she has been working in virtual education as both an educator and administrator. Jodie earned her Masters in Business Administration and has been homeschooling her 5 children the last several years. She is passionate about science and business education and sharing the love of Jesus.
Adrienna Tafolla
Adrienna is a mother of two who pursued her career in education EC-6. She attended the University of Texas A&M Kingsville and obtained her bachelors degree. She is currently working with Idea public schools as a substitute teacher and has worked as a co-teacher as well. She has been teaching for over 5 years. She loves the Lord and enjoys teaching Sunday school at church.
Will Hunter
Will Hunter is currently working as an safety engineer in the aerospace industry, and supports his wife in homeschooling their 5 children. He recently graduated with a Master of Science in Analytics from Texas A&M. Will has 13 years experience working in health, safety and environment in addition to 17 years experience as a licensed paramedic in Texas.

Brandon Shuman is the Dean of Arts and Humanities at Midland Classical Academy. In his tenure he has taught over 20 different courses in history, great books, bible, logic, and greek. Brandon graduated with a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Baptist University and Masters in Liberal Arts from St. John's College. He serves on the pulpit team at Midland Bible Church, is a commentator for TheBibleSays.com, and is the author of Beneath Bethlehem Skies.

We offer something unique in that we will be using local onsite credentialed professors through our partner universities. The classes will offer a hybrid model of in person and virtual classrooms. This program is for students who are looking to maximize their high school studies with college credit through CHI partner universities. Some students may benefit by simply taking individual classes taught by world-class instructors. Others will look to satisfy a full year of General Education college classes (30+ credit hours), with a special emphasis on substituting those classes that frequently promote and enforce an anti-Christian worldview in many of our State universities. Highly motivated students can finish their Associates Degree (60 credit hours), as a highly affordable way to enter into a College Degree pathway.
