Over the summer, my family and I ventured to Brazil to rally our team, train leaders, and forge new partnerships, marking my return after almost three years due to COVID travel restrictions. Greetings from São Paulo, Brazil! Due to COVID travel restrictions, almost three years have passed since I had the opportunity to visit our Brazilian leaders and regional communities. So much has happened in the meantime! Since launching our community-based education projects in Brazil five years ago, we have grown from 2 communities to over 300 learning sites…

So much has happened since our last update! God has opened doors beyond what we could have even imagined, and I'm looking forward to updating you on the work He has in store for Christian Halls International. Rather than jamming everything into a single update, this will be the first of a regular series of updates. I will kick things off by giving you a high-level overview.

Our CEO Dr. Nicholas Ellis was a guess on the the Anchored podcast by Classic Learning Test. Dr. Ellis shares about his unique life experiences, including growing up in the Brazilian Amazon and studying at Oxford University. He also discusses Christian Halls International’s mission to return the responsibility of educational and personal formation of students to local communities across the globe.

As I reflect on this last year, I am filled with gratitude for our community members, supporters, and staff at Christian Halls International. They have exemplified the innovative spirit that makes CHI an extraordinary educational program.
