CHI 2022: Year In Review

Dear Friends,

As I reflect on this last year, I am filled with gratitude for our community members, supporters, and staff at Christian Halls International. They have exemplified the innovative spirit that makes CHI an extraordinary educational program.

To those who have participated across our network of communities world-wide —students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, donors and friends—I want to say thank you for your work, engagement and support. Thanks to you, we’ve had a year of growth across numerous meaningful milestones. Each of these propels us forward toward our vision of community-based human formation, achieving our key mission objectives: forming the whole person, equipping local elders to invest in the next generation, innovating within a Christ-centered vision for regional flourishing, and reweaving our communities’ social fabric for God’s glory.

If you would like to continue to help us move toward these goals, please consider including us in your year-end giving here.

We can’t accomplish this mission without your continued prayer and support and count it a joy to share in this work with you.

Here are just a few milestones from 2022:

  • We partnered with Southeastern University to launch the CHI Honors College program, providing a dual credit and undergraduate option for students wanting a Classical, Great Books, and Humanities-driven approach to their college studies.

  • We launched our National Christian Community College initiative,  providing a Christ-centered alternative to state-run secular junior college.

  • Our Apprenticeship and Trade School program launched as a partnership with M5 Enterprise, offering a work-study, trade, and entrepreneurship program across their 15 stores.

  • Our partnership with Andrew Pudewa and the Institute for Excellence in Writing was a great success, offering a high quality college writing program.

  • CHI, Grace School of Theology and Word of Life Brazil launched a fully accredited bachelor of Bible and Theology.

  • Our partnership with Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary also launched in Brazil, offering graduate studies in theology.

  • Our Nursing Program launched as a pilot in Indiana. We will now be looking for partner with regional clinics, hospitals, and nursing mentors to expand this program throughout our regions.

  • Our Aviation Program with Indiana Wesleyan University provides a path for pilots and aviation technicians to earn their license and bachelor degree through local Christian mentors and flying clubs.

This list is just a fraction of the work that has been completed this past year, and we stand amazed at what the Lord has done. We are dreaming God-sized dreams, and the Lord is blessing our hard work, creativity, and innovation. We are energized and excited for this coming year, as we pursue a vision for Christ-centered, no-debt, mentor-led human formation in every community of our nation and beyond.

I am so thankful for your partnership. We simply couldn’t have done this work without your participation in God’s kingdom.

Wishing you peace, blessings and a hopeful 2023.

Happy New Year!
