CHI Permian Basin represents a growing network of collegiate learning communities, centered in Midland/Odessa and designed to serve West Texas with college education that is local, affordable, and Christ-centered.

All Permian Private Halls are united by a deep commitment to Christ-centered human formation, local self-governance, and the flourishing of their families and civic spaces.
What is a Christian Hall?
A Private Christian Hall bridges the gap between accredited degrees from online university programs, and the formational power of local wisdom and mentorship.
We based this model on the Oxford University college tutorial system, in which:
First, students join a Private Hall in their local community, where they attend weekly tutorials with a subject matter expert.
Then, Hall Members enroll in classes and degree programs from a university partner.
Day-to-Day, students participate in online lectures, private research, hand-on experiences, and small-group academic discussion with their local tutors.
This model of education takes advantage of both university accreditation, while also creating a deeply formational, local learning community where love for Christ, love for people, and love for place flourish.

The Inklings Hall
A Classical Honors College, with a focus on literature, history, humanities, and general education from within the Liberal Arts tradition. Includes both Dual Credit, Undergrad, and Graduate programs.
The Inklings Hall has a special interest in supporting the homeschool communities across the Permian.

Midland Classical Academy
MCA offers classical instruction, with a special focus on the Great books tradition, Christian Liberal Arts, and leadership formation.

Christ Church Collegiate
Church Church Hall offers tutorials in Anglican thought, including theological formation, the Christian Liberal Art tradition, Church Fathers, and global missions, deeply rooted within the Reformed Catholic Tradition.

Teacher College
The CHI Teacher College program serves as a fully accredited, Texas State Authorized teacher training. We envision generations of teachers from and for West Texas, deeply rooted in the American and Christian intellectual tradition that comprises Texas values.

Civics Hall
Our Civic Leadership program exists to train local leaders in governance, public administration, political studies, and civics.
Degree including undergraduate and graduate degrees in criminal justice, law, public administration, campaign management, and political science.

In our Classical Honors College design, students study the great texts within the liberal arts tradition. This program offers a perfect fit for students who have graduated from a classical high school education, and are seeking to continue their studies within the Great Conversation.
Degrees include undergraduate and graduate degrees in Great Books, Liberal Arts, Philosophy, and the History of Western Thought.

While all CHI programs are deeply rooted within the Christian intellectual tradition, we also offer focused programs in Bible, Theology, and Ministry Training.

The Permian Basin has a long tradition of entrepreneurship, work-ethic, and world-class commerce. The Business and Entrepreneurship Hall focuses on developing the next generation of business owners and leaders across the Permian.

Skilled Trade Pathways
Our Trade School design is focused on developing spiritually-formed and skilled professionals who can serve Christ, their communities, and their churches. Local tradesmen guide students through industry-specific training and spiritual formation through hands-on practicum work, supplemented by online coursework for their specific field.
Programs include licensure, certificates and degree programs in Business, HVAC, Plumbing, Construction Technology, Electrical, and more.

Christian Conservatory
Many of our most talented students desire to study in the arts: film, music, performance arts, visual arts, and design. Rarely, however, are students taught to use these talents for the flourishing of their home town.
With the CHI Conservatory, students can earn their BFA and MFA in a variety of areas, while learning to bless their community with their God-given talents.
