Enrollment Requirements

Southeastern University

  • $50.00 application fee and $105.00 material fee due immediately. The remainder of the tuition ($300.00 for High School, $1,050 for Undergrads) and the technology fee ($175.00) are due upon registration to the University.

  • Students must have at least a high school sophomore standing.

Enrollment and Registration Steps

1. Become a Christian Halls member by clicking on the link below and creating a MyHall Account.

2. Once you have created your account and are logged in, click on Browse Halls, search for Patriot Academy Virtual Hall, click on Details >, click on Join Hall.

3. You will receive an acceptance notification by email once the hall director has reviewed your request. Once accepted you will be able to login and view the tutorials available for you to enroll in. Enroll in the tutorial that corresponds with the course you want to take:

  • Intro to US Government: POLS-1013

4. After you’ve joined the tutorial, there is a link on the left side of the screen in the Corresponding course section titled Student Application for Admission Link. To become an online student at the university click the link and complete the University application form.

4. Once accepted as a student, CHI and/or your director will take care of your class enrollment/registration.

5. Login to your SEU student account, and activate your SEU email, verify your student schedule in JICS, and access your course content through MyFire a week before class starts.

6. Complete the course by submitting your assignments on time. Receive your final grade on your college transcript at the end of the semester.

Course Materials and Material Fee

Accessing Patriot Academy’s A Republic... If You Can Keep It in SEU’s online course requires a $105.00 materials fee. Group Rates available for Patriot Academy curriculum: $99 curriculum fee + $17 per enrolled individual

A Republic... If You Can Keep It provides a comprehensive exploration of the American system of government, focusing on its unique characteristics, exceptionalism, and founding principles. Students will delve into the significance of the American Constitution as the longest-lasting national written constitution in history and examine the foundational documents that shaped the American government. By the end of the course, students will gain a deep understanding of the American political system, their role as citizens, and the factors that have contributed to America’s exceptionalism and success.  

*Access to use A Republic... If You Can Keep It materials that are included in the online course is an additional cost on top of the College Credit tuition and fees.

How are classes taught?

All classes are asynchronous, meaning that students can access course materials and submit their work through the university portals on their own schedule within a certain timeframe.

Other Important Notes:

Credits earned from these courses are from regionally accredited universities and are transferrable as credits. Confirm with the receiving university whether or not they will count as electives or degree credits.

There is a one-time membership fee of $50 to join CHI.

For high school dual-enrollment students, the total cost for the 3-credit-hour class at SEU, the material fee, and the CHI membership fee is  $630.00.

The total cost for the 3-credit-hour class at SEU, the material fee, and the CHI membership fee is $1,330 for undergraduate students.

Enrolling in the course does not include an online classroom component.
